WaterPlace park is a crowning achievement in the redevelopment of Downtown Providence. Once covered over by highways the river is now exposed and highlighted by a series of pedestrian bridges and walkways. It is the site for concerts, Waterfires, and other cultural events. It is also the end point for the Woonasquatucket River Greenway. The Greenway will bring riders to the heart of downtown, to shop, work or just enjoy the river.
