Donigian Park, or Valley Street Park as it is known is located
in Olneyville, not far from Olneyville Square. Neglected for year, the
City of Providence has recently spent time and money making improvements
to the park. This past summer the River Rangers, a youth stewardship program
coordinated by the Greenway Project, helped keep the park clean and planned
activities in the park for local children and families. This year the park
was the site of the annual Greenway Festival. In the past the festival
was held in a parking lot in Olneyville Square. This year we were able
to celebrate the success of the Greenway Project in a newly cleaned and
renovated park
From Donigian Park you can put a canoe in the Woonasquatucket

River Rangers paint barrels and make other improvements in the
parks to encourage people to keep the park clean.
